Bright Nights is produced by Gloucester City Council, but lighting up Gloucester over the last few years wouldn't have been possible without the kind support of Arts Council England, Gloucester BID, Unlimited and FESTIVAL.ORG who have helped fund the programme.

A massive thank you to our partners Llanthony Secunda Priory, Blackfriars Priory, Strike A Light, Historic England, Gloucester Guildhall, Gloucester Cathedral, Your Next Move and Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust who played a massive part in the hosting of our 2021 & 2022 Bright Nights Festivals.

The original festival concept was created by Gloucester Culture Trust who supported the programme in its early stages, bringing partners together to make it happen for Gloucester.

MEET THE TEAM
Bright Nights is produced by a talented team who are all obsessed with light.
VASHTI WAITE - CREATIVE PRODUCER
Vashti has been transforming spaces to create unique awarding-winning experiences for the public for over two decades, from circus spectaculars in abandoned buildings, to cultural festivals in parks and fields. Her previous work includes Cirque Bijou, In Between Time, 2012 Cultural Olympiad, Wembley Arena, the BBC, Unicorn Theatre and popular music festivals, including Glastonbury Festival.
GLOUCESTER CITY FESTIVALS & EVENTS TEAM
Producing high-profile events across the city of Gloucester, from civic events like flag-raisings and Mayoral appearances, to huge festivals like Tall Ships or Gloucester Goes Retro, the Festivals & Events team is a group of experienced events staff working for Gloucester City Council.
